HeyNews

HeyNews is a newsletter production platform for operators who are sick of losing 6 to 10 hours a week to the same loop: scan sources, pick stories, fight a blank draft, rebuild the same structure, polish a subject line, ship, repeat.

Generic AI tools couldn't do the "draft in your voice" step. The output always sounded like AI. So we built HeyNews to handle the production layer while keeping editorial judgment with the human.

How it works

1. Connect your newsletter. Native API integration with beehiiv, OAuth with Kit, or archive import from Substack, Ghost, Mailchimp, Medium, or any newsletter with a public archive.
2. HeyNews reads your past issues and builds a voice profile: tone, sentence rhythm, section structure, signature phrases, headline patterns.
3. Generate a draft from your trusted sources (RSS, blogs, Reddit, social profiles, a Chrome extension for saved articles).
4. Review, revise in Compose with Smart Select and one-click transforms, send.

What's inside

• AI Writers trained on your archive. Multiple Writers per publication for different edition styles. Each Writer keeps learning from open and click data after every send.
• Source pipeline. Relevance-scored stories from RSS, blogs, Reddit, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and a Chrome extension.
• Compose. Smart Select, transforms (shorter, punchier, formal, casual, persuasive), hot takes, subject line and preview text suggestions.
• Automations that schedule drafts on your cadence but never auto-publish. Review-before-send is a hard rule.
• Per-issue analytics. Open rate, CTR, best-send-time heatmap, unsubscribe and bounce trends.

We used HeyNews ourselves for over a year before opening it up. Two co-founders, a small team, nearly 600 issues across 10+ formats. This isn't a beta launch. It's the system we've been publishing with all along.
