Quick story on why I built it. Last year I shipped a small SaaS and wanted to find places to submit it for backlinks and early users. So I went searching. Found a Notion doc with 50 sites. A Twitter thread with 100. A Google sheet with 200. None of them told me which sites actually still work, which ones are paid only, which ones have real DR, which ones got banned by Google last year.
I spent like two weeks just clicking dead links and rewriting the same product description over and over. By the end I was tired and a bit angry. I thought, someone should just make a real directory for this. With filters. With DR. With honest notes on which ones are worth your time.
So I made it.
First version was just a list. Then I realized the list isn't the real value. The real value is the guide — how to actually submit to each site, what works, what doesn't, what gets your account flagged. So I started writing long playbooks for the big ones (Product Hunt, G2, Capterra, Indie Hackers, Gumroad…). The stuff I wish someone told me when I was starting out.
So the project changed shape. I thought I was building a directory. Turns out I'm building a writing project with a directory attached. Both languages too, since a lot of my friends are Chinese indie makers and there's basically nothing good in Chinese for this.
One more thing I added, kind of for myself. When you submit to 50+ sites you forget which ones you already did. I was using a messy Notion table and it got out of hand. So I built a "project" feature — you save your product, then check off each site as you submit. No more "wait did I already do this one". This is the part behind a small paywall, everything else (directory, guides, filters) is free and stays free.
It's still early. Lots of things to fix. If you've tried submitting to a bunch of these sites and have notes I missed, please drop them — I'll add them in.
Thanks for taking a look.
